Action Learning Project
Two of our Elementary School school teachers, Minoti S. And Padmini M., took part in a 6-day training to integrate art into the learning curriculum conducted by Art Sparks. The workshop focused on teaching problem solving, observational skills, and collaboration through art. They are now implementing these action-based lesson plans with their children. Some of the aspects they worked on are:
exploring materials
child development in visual arts
introduction to art education
robust art teaching methodology
using different materials like paint, clay, collage paper, hybrid animals made out of chart paper
self-portraits through the integration of flexible thinking through exploration
using detailed observation
