Jhamtse Gatsal is a Tibetan term composed of two words: Jhamtse, which means 'love and compassion', and Gatsal, which means 'garden'. Jhamtse Gatsal is a garden of love and compassion.

Ven. Lobsang is hoping to provide uniforms for the children of Jhamtse Gatsal Children's Community. Uniforms are a culturally important part of the educational experience in India, and this prototype is based on traditional Monpa dress. Two students who visited the school during the summer of 2008 are raising money to finance the uniforms; if you'd like to help, please contact jhamtse@jhamtse.net.
