Jhamtse Clubs take their identity from the Tibetan word jhamtse, which means "love and compassion". The clubs
exist to inspire and engage young people to cultivate and nurture the basic values of love, compassion, and
wisdom in their lives, and to promote these values in the world through learning, understanding, and action.
Jhamtse Clubs welcome young people from different cultures, ethnic groups, faiths, and beliefs to join together
and share their ideas, inspirations, and knowledge to promote and practice love and compassion for others. With
these efforts, the clubs work to help make the world a better place through the education of compassion and
transforming into action.

Jhamtse Clubs Mission
Jhamtse Club members throughout the world reach out and connect with each other and with young people locally and globally to educate and raise awareness of the principles of love, compassion, and wisdom in everyday life.
Jhamtse Clubs promote open and constructive dialogue, interfaith discussion, and offer workshops, cultural events, and other programs and activities to foster the understanding of love, compassion, and wisdom.
Jhamtse Clubs support Jhamtse International in furthering its vision and mission.
Jhamtse Clubs organize discussion groups, meetings, and events to provide opportunities for young people to examine and discuss global issues that affect other young people, their communities, and them. In addition, club members work together to develop and practice peaceful and non-violent responses to these issues.
Jhamtse Clubs support and provide opportunities for young people to exercise and express love, compassion, and wisdom through art, music, writing, and other creative activities.
