Jhamtse (jhaam’-tsay) is Tibetan for “love and compassion.” Jhamtse International is a non-profit organization based in the USA. We are run by volunteers and sustained by individuals who participate in our programs. Our two primary initiatives are to support Jhamtse Gatsal Children’s Community in Arunachal Pradesh, India, and Jhamtse Buddhist Center in the USA.
We believe the course of individual lives and the world can be profoundly improved through the active practice of love and compassion. We strive to apply these principles in everything we do.
Our mission is to end suffering, spread happiness, and build a better world through the practice of the universal principles of love, compassion, and wisdom. We work toward this mission by supporting Jhamtse Gatsal Children’s Community and by supporting the education, spiritual development and community programs of Jhamtse Buddhist Center.
Jhamtse International’s headquarters – are in Acton, Massachusetts, USA.
